Building a More Efficient Tracking System

The DyTech disturbed joint management program was established in 2019 to enhance our turnaround management services. Since then the program has expanded to assist ExxonMobil with developing and implementing a digital app, through Microsoft, to manage all of their disturbed joints during their turnarounds.

The development of this digital tracking system will dramatically change how ExxonMobil currently manages disturbed joints. It essentially eliminates about 90% of the paperwork that would historically be required and it also allows for a more efficient tracking system.

How We Help Our Clients for Disturbed Joint Management:

    • Cold Eyes approach with full reference to Joint Control Process, Piping Specifications, Torque / Tensioning Specifications to ensure proper materials and torque values are applied.

    • Leak Test Pack Review to ensure all joints are captured in testing program. Also to identify any Witness Joints created due to the Leak Test (E.g. Injection Points)

    • Sourcing from multiple contacts / clients / disciplines (construction, maintenance, operations, etc.)

    • Spreadsheet development to compile all Joint Data in one central location before Joint App entry

    • Development of the latest revision to ExxonMobil SWP – Joint Control Process for both Hibernia and Hebron Platforms

    • Development of EMCE Joint Management Application Instruction Manual

    • Assisting in App development (Drop-down menu creation, design recommendations)

    • Application testing and troubleshooting

    • Administration Portal Authority (ability to add additional info for drop-down fields)

    • Joint Tag creation, editing, printing

    • Development of Joint Application Instruction Manual

    • Onshore / Offshore education sessions to introduce revised Joint Control Process incorporating Joint Management Application.

    • Onshore / Offshore education sessions to train the use of Joint Management Application through an overview of Instruction Manual. (Joint Application Access, Tag Creation, Tag Editing, Tag Printing, Printer Setup and Maintenance, Scanning QR Code with Authorized Devices, Dashboard Overview)
